I thought lets chat a little about how we years ago got in contact with Tibia. So, how did you guys start to play Tibia? How did you know about it's existence? I found out from a friend and my cousin (Diddy). When I started to play at first I didn't really like it. I told him what kinda phony game is this? I don't see the point and I don't understand anything at all. Like, I made a Paladin and trained sword instead of spears. They had no idea I already found out you had to train a skill, except for the fact I didn't know the definition of the vocations lol. Then after a week or two, I found out what vocation should train what skill. I got the hang of Rookgaard pretty fast. I was in complete control with pushing, trapping and surviving my ass in difficuilt situations such as Mino Hell down at Rookgaard. (without potions that is) First I was playing Rookgaard probably because of that control and still unaware of the purposes of the Mainlands. I was level 16 or 19 on Rookgaard and I got tired of it then. I made a new character and played Paladin, pretty successfull untill I got hunted for being an asshole basically. Level 19 with skills near to 70 without dying once. Then a made a knight, even more successfull, level 28 with skills 83/82. Had a lot of chars, most proud character back in the days would be either that knight or my sorcerer level 38 with magic lvl 64 or something. Solo'd a level 85 Master Sorcerer that was trying to kill me with his red skull. Little did I know, he was Leader of the most fearsome guild Bad Boyss. It was his pk character. I looted everything he had on him and I don't remember too much about what he lost, but I do know it was alot. After I killed the prick, I just felt something's gonna happen. And yeah, there came about 5 level 100+'s to kill me. Remember it was PVP back then, no crappy hotkey bot included nonsense like it is now. I kept on jumping up and down the stairs up and below Venore depot. However one guy kept staying on the look-out up there so it seemed impossible for me to escape this time. But I kept on jumping stairs so much that they were forced to call him to help them kill me. Then I suddenly ran to the east and mwalled the one sqm. Cause ofcourse I kept the mwalls he had with me. Then I ran through amazone camp, past the dragon, and entered Kazordoorn and basically ran as far away from them to lose my pz, which worked. I escaped and I had to pay 80K. I looted about 60K from him but I said some guy who saw us fight stole everything cause I had no cap. I knew his full name and he said ok i believe you, but pay 80k now or ill hunt you down back to rookgaard. I figured like I had 70K myself, and looted 60K from him. Boh was worth 30K so I didnt sell it. I paid 80K and didnt login for 2 weeks, just to be sure they forget about me. I went to poh, and there some dickface came, immediatly UE and I died. "you're still hunted, forever!" They really were the worst kind of power abusers on the planet. No matter where I went, they came looking for me. Now, I wonder what you guys think about Tibia now. Do you think it's better now with all the new things and hotkey system? Or do you feel like they ruined the entire game. Obviously my opinion is they ruined the entire game. If you guys also got a story to tell about the better days of Tibia, feel free to do so! |

I remember how my mothers friends son(no clue if its typed like that) was playing some weird game and told me how to play it. It was LOOOOOOONG time ago. I was exploring around the map without knowing how to the hell do anything and got trapped to some cave with stairs because i had no clue how to jump up from them. I was so mad, trying get up for like hour and then quited the game. Next time when we went to my mothers friend house i asked how the hell i get up from stairs, and boom. It was so easy and then my journey started. I have been playing real tibia very on/off. Mostly been playing open tibia servers and shit. What about cip ruined the game? Yeah, maybe bit. But the hotkey pvp aint that bad after all. Ofc its boring if you go 1v1, but if you have awesome team its hella lot fun. Newest client aint best for pvp, but if i have to say best client with hotkeys its 8.6 Been playing lot with some mates on ots and real tibia, some times with 5 man finnish teams and sometimes with 20-25 people, most from finland but some guys from sweden too. We have won nice war matches on 8.6 servers against 10-15man teams with our 5man team. Its not that hard if you dont play like monkey. Satan have been playing with us many times too. But yeah, old school pvp is best. Been playing in sooooo many old school servers and cant even count them because there is so many. But never, NEVER been playing in server with better pvp system than Outcast. Outcasts movement speed, exhaust and all make the pvp ultra fun and normal exhausted old school servers aint even near as fun. Sorry if there is some spelling shit, typos etc. Woke up 10min ago |

Ah, the memories! I started playing in 2001 or 2002 on the server Calmera. It was non pvp but I had no game knowledge whatsoever and just wanted to play with a few rl friends which got me into the game. We used to hunt the groundfloor of venore dragon lair with the three of us, we were all paladins. I was only like 12 years old at the time, and was really active with sports and whatnot, so I only reached level 23 on that one. After that, I switched to Aldora when it first came out. I had built up some game knowledge and I convinced my parents to buy me premium account. I wasnt able to keep pace with the good players, but when the high levels were about 100-110, I had a level 50 paladin and knight. I got into my first war: Black Widows vs Eternal March. This is one of the classic wars which alot of people know about, and im proud that I was part of it. While writing this, I rewatched one of the old school war videos about that war: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IRWGdjdXcow We (black widows) lost though, so we had to move servers. I went my own way and after a few sidetracks, I landed on the server where I played the most and also achieved the most: Hiberna. My sorcerer 'Woodynator' turned out to be one of the highest lvl mages on the server, peaking out at 220. Remember this is around 6 or 7 years ago, when such a level was a big deal. Fought war after war with my guild Dark Mortals until CIPsoft started screwing their game up. After that I slowly lost interest in the game and I started prioritizing other stuff in life. Aside from Woodynator, ive had several 100+'s just laying around and even a 340 knight, which I still own if they arent auto-deleted yet Since I quit rl tibia, ive played some OT's on a less serious note. The chance of me going back to rl tibia is about 0 at this point. I have no interest in it, I have shit to do in real life and the game is simply not appealing to me anymore. A friend of mine always played outcast. Hes a giant noob and never played rl tibia and is overall clueless about the game. In fact, if he had his way, he would be the only one playing outcast so he could hunt dragons for a few hours a day in peace Anyways, I just want outcast to open so I could play some with rl friends again on a casual level without caring about stats or whatever.

Well Toni I am all about PVP when we talk about Tibia. You can't compete anymore now. Like, I was able to kill level 60+'s with my level 30. Because I simply got a good aim along with my playstyle. All you can do now is heal your ass continiously because he will never miss a rune. Yeah, big teams. How lovely. I adored the fact on Tibia that you could win by strength and skills alone. I am so glad that I have retired it long before the newer client versions came. I liked pushing people into Giant Spider hole at poh, I could do that all day. As a matter of fact, I have killed literally hundreds of people that way. Luring like 10 Giant Spiders and some Orc Berserkers, Leaders and Shamans in there. One day I killed 2 level 140-150's red skulls that way. Shitload of loot. I had hidden all of it but then some server clean obviously came and everything was gone, just my luck! |

Id say games, not only Tibia is thousand times more fun if you play with friends. If i want play alone and do everything i go to single player games.
May i ask whats wrong in big team wars at thais? Trapping at yalahar? Sneaking with war mode? Trap and kill fucking high level eks? Yeah, i bet you havent ever even tried play in semi-big teams against other teams.
Id say you have do more than just spam your heal hotkey. E: May i ask how did you lure 10 giant spiders and shit with 30level character? |

Back in the old days, giant spiders didnt use 'haste' yet. If I remember correctly, it only took like lvl 12 to outrun them. Those were fun days man. The adrenaline when you approached dwarf bridge... You had like a 50% chance there were a few giant spiders waiting for you there ^^ |

I have died many times while walking from thais to carlin because lures. Its actually pretty boring when lures aint working anymore. I guess they are trying make it easier and easier all the time.
Oh, oh! May i ask what the fuck i did to you? Oh right, nothing. Im pretty sure i was talking with Phomp and you got pissed off because that? May i ask WHAT THE FUCK. For fucking real. Tell me, what the fuck? I was posting here normally, didnt say anything bad to anyone and boom, you come here and act like some fucking cool guy? I wasnt trying to bully your Phomp or anything so you can calm down
And still you play it? Yeah, new hotkey pvp aint nothing compared to nohotkey wars but i just said what i said because felt like people are talking how shit it is and stuff when they havent even tried it. |

He might not know about the oldschool golden days of Tibia but he does grasp the concept of team playing. Every game and mostly everything you do in life becomes better if you do it with a group of people. Id rather play 5v5 or 10v10 than 1v1. |

It is more fun, but I meant to say when you go somewhere and see someone and are like "hey, im gonna kill the fucker" in some hunting-cave or something. Then it's just fun if you can completely dominate a person just because you're a better player than him. As for right now, you can't. Because all he has to do is hold his finger above his hotkey and press it to heal. Plain ridiculous to be honest.
Nothing, but with the hotkey system it is. Let's say you turn out to get outnumbered but you're still on a open field. Now you just won't survive if the power of them (number of persons) is just too much/many. Before the hotkey nonsense came along, you might be able to survive because 70% would be missing runes.
If you are level 30 and a level 60 or 70 is after you, he can kill you in 2 sds? So you can't afford to fight back anymore, in the past you could because you had the chance he/she would miss sometimes.
You definitely may. I lured one giant spider at once, so 1 by 1. The giant spider hole in poh (south of the temple) kept on closing like every 1-2 minutes and everything that walked on it, would fall down there. So I lured monsters 1 by 1 untill there were about 10-20 and sometimes even 50 in there. Then tried to push every single person on the closed hole so he would fall down and die in 0,000000000001 second(s).
Oh please, don't give me that. I know everything about the old days of Tibia. I played it and I have actually been into wars eventhough I were a low level, yet I have never died in a war on real-Tibia. (not sure if this message was meant to me though :D) |
